In flexible wire and cables used conductor are made with flexible wire by stranding or Bunching as per IS: 8130 : 1994

Cores are identifield with a color scheme as per IS:694:90 as under

  • 3 Cores - Red, Black & Green
  • 4 Cores - Red,Yellow, Blue, & Green
  • 5 Cores - Red, Yellow, Blue, Black & Grey

Insulation:- The PVC that covers the conductor is called insulated wire. It is provided Type A extrusion Type A PVC compound is under as per IS:5831:1984.
